Bishop Maurice Nicholson dedicated 17 years of service as the Presiding Prelate of the Eastern Diocese. On April 13, 2024, we celebrated his retirement from this role. While Bishop and First Lady Orelia Nicholson will continue to serve actively as local church leaders within the Eastern Diocese, their departure from leading the spiritual efforts of the entire Diocese is impactful. The local ministry where Bishop Nicholson pastors is excited to have him back in full-time ministry, but will undoubtedly miss his leadership at the Diocesan level. Let us continue to lift Bishop and First Lady Nicholson in prayer as they transition from fearless leaders of the Eastern Diocese to faithful visionaries for Future Church.
